I am certain you must be knowing what a roller-coaster ride means but let me quickly shed a light on my experience - there are, usually, two types of rides - one for kids and the other one to frighten the crap out of adults. The adult ones start with swings that make you giggle nervously but then from nothing it turns you upside-down at its maximum height. It causes a sensation as if a ball is rolling inside your stomach, you pray it settles but it gets crazier. If not exactly, I felt a similar experience along with a circus of thoughts while reading 'The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. It's a debut novel of the author.
Warning: If you start reading this novel, you will not be able to put it down. No one exists around you until you finish it (not exaggerating)

I was eying on 'The Silent Patient' book for a long because it was all over Goodreads and recommended by bloggers (Yes, I check out blogs for book recommendations). As soon as I saw a window to read, I got it delivered into my kindle paperwhite device. I started reading it casually with a full mug of coffee which I didn't realize when did I finish my coffee because the very first chapter got me hooked up.

It starts with a crime scene in London. A beautiful woman shoots her husband six times in the face and says nothing. She would not speak or unable to. Psychotherapists and the author himself try their best to get her talking for 5 years but all in vain. Until something happens – it hits you with a hammer!!
I have nothing more to say about this book. If you love psychological thrillers and if you're wanting to start reading but unsure which one to pick up, let this be your book. Enjoy read! (or ride) 😈
